Clydebank Blitz

 

 

 

On the 13th &14th March 1941 the town of Clydebank was subjected to an onslaught from which many think it never recovered.
In a mere 16 hours Clydebank was reduced to rubble, 528 died, 617 were seriously injured and thousands more received non life threatening injuries. 7 homes remained intact out of a stock of 12,000 and 48,000 refugees were were forced to leave the town made uninhabitable by the ferocity of the bombing.

In this new book, as well as artwork, bomb maps and computer simulations, there are many photographs as yet unseen in the public domain. Titled simply 'Clydebank Blitz'. It deals with the town before, during and after its Blitz. It examines the politics, environment, opinions and clearly describes why Clydebank as part of a city area with a plethora of targets was singled out for slaughter. A limited edition of 200 copies are available at £20 inclusive of postage and packaging. All books are signed and dated by the artist.
